A few months ago I gushed about how about a project that saw a gang of autonomous robots worked together to pull off a book heist. Well the swarm bots are back at it again, only now they’ve abandoned a life of crime and taken up the finer things. Check out the video below to see a series of quadrotors perform the James Bond theme, by physically and independently interacting with instruments. As emphasized in the YouTube description by GRASP (General Robots, Automation, Sensing and Perception) Labs of the University of Pennsylvania:
These flying quadrotors are completely autonomous, meaning humans are not controlling them; rather they are controlled by a computer programed with instructions to play the instruments.
This is the stuff of James Bond’s Q Labs.
