Toronto’s premier festival for thrills and chills, Toronto After Dark, is adding chiptunes and pixels to its Halloween season proceedings with the inauguration of the Toronto After Darkcade. Co-presented by the Hand-Eye Society and coordinated by TIFF Nexus alumni Alex Bethke the Darkcade plans to feature the year’s most unique and thrilling indie videogames that fall within the festival’s genre mandate of HORROR, SCI-FI, ACTION and CULT.
The arcade will be situated in the heart of the festival’s main party venue Pauper’s Pub across from the Bloor Cinema, and with the festival already attracting 10,000 cinephiles annually, along with over 100 Press and Industry members, selected games can expect considerable exposure.
The call for entries has already gone out with a Sept. 7th deadline, so get cracking.
